Wedding Inspiration: Intimate Urban Affair


An airy, loft-like venue — Carondelet House in downtown Los Angeles — was the scene for this stylish wedding, brought to life by the creative minds at Sterling Social. The venue is notable for industrial-chic architectural details such as polished wood floors, brick walls and high, vaulted ceilings — the better to show off the ceremony centerpiece: a large runner hand-calligraphed with the couple’s wedding vows.

he design team chose grand crystal chandeliers and dozens upon dozens of candles to put the focus on the watchwords, “The best is yet to come.” The thematic quote of the evening itself was displayed throughout the venue, like on these letter-pressed cocktail coasters. Orchids, hydrangea and succulents atop a classic Saarinen table. (All furniture from Form Decor event rental, La Mirada, CA.)

“The palette — a modern mix of slate grey plus white and navy — was carried throughout, from invitations to the comfy mid-century modern furniture all the way to the blackberry macaron dessert finale."
